Century-old wood finds new life in these rustic ash boards, handcrafted in a trio of shapes and sizes. The numbered pine boards are perfect for cheese-and-wine tastings – or any time you're doing culinary comparisons. They're made for us by Hungarian artisans, who use wood salvaged from turn-of-the-20th-century buildings in Central Europe. Each eco-friendly board is a one-of-a-kind work of functional art. Generations of bakers have used ceramic pie birds to get the best results from fruit fillings. Simply perch our ceramic bird in the center of a two-crust pie, and it will vent steam during baking to help keep the juices from boiling over, resulting in a flaky, not soggy, crust and a cleaner oven.
