This dinnerware celebrates the beauty in everyday objects; in this case, the willow gathering baskets used in French kitchen gardens. Pillivuyt, the French manufacturer of fine porcelain, developed it for us from one of their archival patterns. New molds were hand carved by a single artisan in order to ensure consistency of detail. Complementing both casual and formal table settings, the versatile dinnerware is made of porcelain, which is as durable as it is beautiful.

Elegant yet understated, this flatware combines clean lines and large European proportions. Made by a noted French company, each piece is striking: The bowl of the soup spoon, for example, is almost 3" long. The flatware is made of polished stainless steel. The five-piece place setting includes an 8 1/4" dinner fork, 7 1/4" salad fork, 9 3/4" dinner knife, 8 1/4" soup spoon and 7 1/4" teaspoon.

In the heart of the French countryside, the Dubost family has been creating this flatware for four generations. The design was inspired by a shepherd's tool first manufactured in the village of Laguiole in the 19th century. Resembling original models that were made to fold and fit in a pocket, the knife is slightly curved and bears a hallmark of a bee (the symbol of the knives of the Laguiole region of France). The flatware is crafted from polished stainless steel, and each piece has three visible rivets.
