Beautiful Tabletop Bowl
More than simply a beautiful hand-carved bowl, this rustic piece is a unique story of destruction and opportunity. Artist Topher DesPrés salvages wood from among the thousands of trees that were downed in New York City by Hurricane Sandy, transforming what would otherwise have been wreckage into one-of-a-kind works of art. The bottom of each bowl is etched with "Hurricane Sandy" and the name of the place where the wood was found.
