Red Chief Lentil and Melted Leek Soup

Serve up a hearty, healthy meal in minutes: just combine our jarred lentil soup with broth and heat on the stovetop. The soup is made with caramelized leeks and chunky vegetables, including tomatoes, carrots, celery and Red Chief lentils, an American heirloom variety.


  • 1 jar (2 lb. 3 oz.) Red Chief lentil and melted leek soup
  • 1 cup low-sodium vegetable or chicken broth, plus more
      as needed


In a saucepan over medium-high heat, combine the soup and the 1 cup broth, adding more broth if you prefer a thinner soup. Bring to a simmer and cook, stirring occasionally, until the soup is heated through. Ladle into bowls and serve immediately. Serves 4 to 6.
