This Hanukkah menu was created by Leslie Revsin, a New York chef and food writer who was the first female chef at the famed Waldorf-Astoria. For the holiday, chef Revsin enjoys cooking familiar, comforting foods, but she also likes to interject a few new twists. Dried figs add a sweet note to her tender braised lamb shoulder, while a crispy potato-apple kugel stands in for traditional latkes. This marriage of the old world with the new produces a menu that will satisfy every taste.
