Rated 1 out of 5 by heather1478 from Didn't hold up well I expected this to be a great ice cream scoop, but after washing it one time it lost the metallic finish. Now when I pick it up it leaves grey metal colored residue on my hands, and also on the ice cream when I used it. I obviously no longer use it and I am disappointed since it wasn't the cheapest product.Date published: 2017-03-27Rated 5 out of 5 by NJBF from Our Favorite Scoop! This is the only ice cream scoop we like to use! Ice cream doesn't stick!Date published: 2016-12-22Rated 5 out of 5 by BarbMW from ZEROLL ICE CREAM SCOOP I have no clue why I never purchased one before... I remember them and they always seemed to work so well. Never knew I could purchase one of my own...what a treat. The one thing you have to remember that it is not dishwasher safe, but no biggie...Date published: 2016-08-24Rated 2 out of 5 by hawaii2484 from Pits and Stains I purchased this ice cream scoop in 2010 based on my trust of WS and the products that their company stands behind and choose to carry within their stores. I regret to say that this ice cream scoop became pitted and stained after the first handwash, and lost efficiency of use after one year. The picture online shows a gleaming, stainless finish, but after one wash, the scoop looks like it's been sitting in an abandoned building for 50 years. I have never let it rest in the sink nor put it through the dishwasher. I gave the product two stars because it did do a good job of cutting through cold ice cream for the first year, only, almost like it melted through the ice cream. However, after one year, I have noticed the scoop lost its ease of use.Date published: 2016-05-18Rated 5 out of 5 by lilitalia84 from It's the best! I eat ice cream every night, and this is the best ice cream scoop I've ever used. I always hand wash it. I've had it for a few years with no issues.Date published: 2016-04-14Rated 1 out of 5 by SamLightIAm from Stains everything i!! I registered for this ice cream scoop because I was nostalgic for the silver scoop I used growing up. The problem is this scoop keeps staining my hands and everything it touches gray. Worst product I've ever bought from Williams Sonoma! yes the scoop is cold, but once you touch it your hands are stained! I want to return this to williams sonoma but they say it is a wedding gift and can't find the receipt of the person that bought it with the ice cream maker. I don't recommend registering here bc the customer service is laking!Date published: 2014-11-28Rated 1 out of 5 by erinlsweet from leaking scoop I received this scoop as a wedding gift and was very excited after reading the outstanding reviews. I put it in the drawer (did not wash with hot water or dish wash) and it started to leak the "freon" solution out of the handle. I returned it to williams-Sonoma as I assumed it was defective. All the scoops they had in stock at my local store were also leaking! The nice associate at the store recommended I choose a different scoop so that I wouldn't have to keep returning. I really wanted to like this, but I can't.Date published: 2014-08-22Rated 5 out of 5 by kwesson from Best ice cream scoop ever Everyone has their favorite ice cream scoop. This is my new favorite! It glides thru even the most frozen ice cream smoothly to form a perfect ball. I would recommend this one without reservation.Date published: 2014-08-07
