Use & Care
Use
- Always use caution when handling sharp objects.
- Avoid cutting on hard surfaces such as stone, metal and glass.
- It is not advisable to use any knife but a meat cleaver to cut through bone, as other blades can be easily damaged.
Care
- Hand-wash with warm water and mild dish soap.
- Rinse thoroughly.
- Dry immediately with soft cloth.
- Do not soak knife in water.
- Use honing steel regularly to maintain cutting edge of blade.
- Sharpen as needed. With regular use and honing, knife should not need sharpening more than once or twice per year.
- Sharpen knife to 14-degree angle on each side using whetstone or knife sharpener, or have it sharpened by a professional.
- Store in safe place to protect edge and prevent injury.

Start a Warranty Claim
1. Prepare Your Knives for Shipping
Take clear photos of all knives you are sending for warranty evaluation and keep these images until your claim is resolved. Carefully wrap each knife in several layers of newspaper or bubble wrap and pack them in a sturdy cardboard box to protect both the knives and package handlers. Do not send any knives in an envelope or apply tape directly to the blades of your knife.
2. Print & Complete Customer Return Form
Fill out the Customer Return Form and include it with your shipment. This information is required to process your warranty claim. All warranty claim forms must include a valid email address in order to be processed.
Do not send personal items with your knives, as these will not be returned. This includes blade guards, towels, and any other items used for protection. WÜSTHOF is not responsible for any loss or damage in transit to our facility, so shipping insurance is recommended, at your discretion.
3. Address & Send Shipment
Ask your shipping carrier to provide you with a tracking number. Retain the tracking number until your claim is finalized, not simply until the package shows delivered.

Return Policy
At Williams Sonoma, we take great pride in the quality and craftsmanship of our products. Attention to design, materials, safety and construction are our priority. Upon receipt, please inspect your purchase and notify us of any damage; we will arrange for a prompt replacement.
Within 30 days, you may return most items for a refund of the merchandise value. An original receipt or gift receipt is required for all returns and exchanges. Returns with a gift receipt will be refunded in the form of a Merchandise Credit for the amount indicated on the gift receipt. Returns with original receipt will be refunded in the original form of payment, cash and check refunds over $100 will be issued as a company check (may take 14 business days from time of request). Please note that returned items must be in new condition.
Returns of kitchen electrics and cutlery (knife sets, single knives, cutting boards, knife sharpeners and knife storage) may require extra information and safety instructions. To initiate your return, please contact us at 888.922.4108 or visit us at your local store.
We cannot accept returns on monogrammed, personalized, special-order items, custom upholstery, food or on items damaged through normal wear and tear. Final sale items ending in .97 cannot be returned. We also cannot accept returns of any food products, which are considered final sale items.
Made to Order and Final Sale Furniture items are non-returnable and cannot be cancelled once the order is placed.
