Our wholesome Wellness sauces are carefully handcrafted with choice ingredients to enhance the rustic character and full flavor of slow-cooked braises. A healthy alternative to most bottled cooking sauces, the sauces are rich in nutrients and vitamins, low in fat and cholesterol, vegetarian, and naturally gluten-free. Combine the sauces with your choice of meat, vegetables, tofu or tempeh in a slow cooker or Dutch oven, then serve with steamed rice or roasted potatoes.
Red Wine & Cremini Mushroom: A rustic, garden-fresh sauce inspired by French country cooking. Cremini mushrooms, celery root and carrots are gently simmered in a mixture of red wine, vegetable demi-glace, garlic and caramelized onions. Ideal for combining with chicken, beef, pork or portobello mushrooms. A good source of fiber and vitamin A. 1 lb. 3 oz.
Sautéed Kale, Chickpea & Tomato: Lacinato kale and tender chickpeas are sautéed in extra-virgin olive oil, then simmered with tomatoes, chickpeas, roasted garlic and white wine.
