Rated 2 out of 5 by CathG from 2 stars for price of poor quality but great.. Starting scaling after one use. I absolutely LOVE the speed though. I've combed the internet and can't find anything else out there. This was my first "William Sonoma Cookware" purchase so it may be my last. I may return and repurchase over and over until All Clad makes one. Try something fun though. Make popcorn in it. The sound of the popping is 10x faster. You'll get a kick out of it. Oh and the size is perfect. The insert works extremely well.Date published: 2017-01-27Rated 5 out of 5 by fitmindandbody from Great pasta pot! I've been wanting a pasta/insert pot for a while and am glad I waited until this one came out. The water boils much more quickly than my regular pot. I love the insert. I also love the quality. It is weighty which probably accounts for the decreased time to come to a boil. This pot is large enough to fit a whole package of pasta varying in size including large types such as spaghetti and lasagne noodles. I also use it for steaming potatoes.Date published: 2016-10-18Rated 5 out of 5 by stilllearning from really works! Bought this because is takes forever for my water to coming to a boil and it is never a rolling boil. This pot is wonderful - it really does work - rolling boil in significantly less time - saves time and energy (gas range).Date published: 2016-08-11Rated 4 out of 5 by MariaLucia from Almost wonderful When I received this pot I was very pleased I loved the weight of it and the way the bottom is made ensures that nothing should burn. I used it to cook macaroni and loved not having to carry a big heavy pot of water over to the sink. It worked perfectly. However, when I went to clean the pot the inside bottom had several areas where it changed color and looked pitted. I was so disappointed. I called and the sent UPS the next day to pick up the pot and another one arrived two days later. I haven't used the new one as yet but hopefully it will be okay. Other than this problem it is a great pot. Can't wait to make a big pot of soup in it.Date published: 2015-10-28Rated 5 out of 5 by karenann8 from Fantastic Multi Pot!!!! This large pot is exceptional! It really does boil quickly. It cooks the food perfectly AND if you have to strainer pot in the regular pot, it does not boil over the sides at all. It cooks pasta, potatoes, anything perfectly. The pot has cut-in grooves on the bottom, which, if you have a gas range, works fantastically at bringing your contents to a boil very quickly. It is made of heavy stainless-steel, as is the insert and a very nice cover. I highly recommend this pot (but only if you have a gas range).Date published: 2015-08-10Rated 5 out of 5 by a56tony from Great pasta pot I have been looking for a new pasta pot for awhile. I am glad I waited for this one. Holds plenty of water for the pasta. The pot heats up nice and stays hot. Once you place your pasta in the pot the water comes up to a boil much quicker. Very well made.Date published: 2015-04-12Rated 5 out of 5 by cookinginmi2 from Fantastic Pot I've used this pot several times for pasta and once for shrimp so far, and it functions exactly as described - just about 6 minutes from tap to boiling on my gas stove. The boil was even and consistent and cooked both pasta & shrimp beautifully! Easy clean up. Can't wait to cook sweet corn in it this summer!Date published: 2015-02-28Rated 5 out of 5 by MHolden from Best Pot Ever I have searched for the perfect pot ever since I bought my gas stove. I finally found it. With other stockpots I've waited forever to get boiling water - and then it's really just a gentle boil. Who knew fins would make such a difference. This is the most wonderful pot. It does just what it advertises. It cleans up beautifully too.Date published: 2014-11-05
