Rated 1 out of 5 by pays from Bought Two, Both Broke I purchased this thermometer and it discontinued working. I returned it thinking it was just defective. The second one did the same thing. I would not recommend this thermometer. I bought it because Williams Sonoma's name was on it. That usually means great quality. Not so in this case. Disappointed.Date published: 2016-10-15Rated 1 out of 5 by Sdelat from Terrible product This is the most inaccurate thermometer I have ever used. I ruined several dishes until I figured out it is not working. I cannot believe Willams Sonoma puts their good name on such a bad product.Date published: 2016-04-19Rated 1 out of 5 by LydiaB from STOP!! Think twice before buying I love shopping at Williams-Sonoma. When I needed a thermometer this was my first stop. Before Thanksgiving I used it once. Thanksgiving Day I take it out to check my turkey and it doesn't work. If I could return it I would. But it's not all bad, I now have a Williams-Sonoma paperweight.Date published: 2015-11-27Rated 1 out of 5 by LyndsayK from Less than Desired Thermometer The digital thermometer was glitchy from the start. Even after reading the instructions on how to use it still wouldn't cooperate. I gave it two chances and then i returned to store.Date published: 2015-06-29Rated 5 out of 5 by AnnMary from Digital Thermometer absolutely fantastic easy and quick as a matter of fact I just used itDate published: 2015-01-24Rated 1 out of 5 by CookinInPville from Lasted one day Very dissatisfied with this product. Today, 9/25/14, my brain was foggy. I pulled out a pork butt from in the oven but left it on the rack so check the internal temp. I inserted the thermometer, saw the numbers increasing, wondered what temp a pork butt would be, decided to go online to fine out, but first slid the rack back in and figured by the time I had looked up the correct temp, the thermometer would have registered the internal temp. Went back ten minutes later and the thermometer had melted! My bad. But it's hard to remember that this thermometer is an out of the oven only item when the older thermometers I used for decades always went back into the oven. I guess for older people who aren't used to it, this thermometer may not survive.Date published: 2014-09-25Rated 2 out of 5 by bakingismything from cannot calibrate When I buy thermometers, I always check to make sure the temperature reading is accurate (fill a glass with ice, top with water, then add more ice - temperature reading should be 32!). This one is off by 2 degrees, and there's no way to calibrate it. Two degrees may not be a big deal for some, but when you are making jams/jellies, 2 degrees can turn your ingredients to a hot mess. I will be returning this thermometer.Date published: 2014-08-31
