Rated 5 out of 5 by bbrock4 from Glass Jars Jars are just the right size to store in refrigerator and tops fit tightly as well. Very pleased.Date published: 2016-06-03Rated 4 out of 5 by Chachynga from Workable BUT Fantastic bottles, and I use mine for daily Kefir making. The ONLY think besides cleaning issues, which I detest, are the gasket that came with it, could of been a little smaller, just a tad - I have to fiddle with it to make sure the seal is right. Cleaning, well unless you have a brush, use wet paper towels to swirl inside because you're never gonna get a lot of it clean with your fingers. Thick glass a plus for bumps and an occasional lid drop. They really should include three clamps, just in case you loose one. The size for my 60 year old house, will not fit in our cabs very easily unless you go all the way to the top shelf - I mean 1/8th an inch or 1/4 more in any of the cabinets and I could fit this in there.Date published: 2015-11-26Rated 2 out of 5 by ScanGirl8140 from Would not recommend While washing one of the jars, I noticed a long crack on the outside of the glass. One other jar had the same defect. The glass is thick, so the cracks aren't easily seen at first. The jars are difficult to clean, and don't pour easily. I bought this set in April, but didn't get to use them until recently, so I can't return them. This was a waste of money, and I would not recommend them.Date published: 2015-07-30Rated 5 out of 5 by LisaJohanna from Awesome Jars These are not only functional but pretty. I'm going to use them to steep my fresh raspberry and blueberry vinegars as soon as my berries are ripe. Can think of many more uses and as a home canner for 30 years I'm sure they'll come in quite handy! Lisa’s Blueberry Vinegar 2 C White Wine Vinegar 2 C Crushed Blueberries 3 T Sugar 1 Strip Orange Peel Combine vinegar and fruit only, in jar. Cover tightly, store in cool dark place for 2 weeks, shaking every other day to mix vinegar. After 2 weeks, strain the vinegar and combine with sugar and orange peel in a non- aluminum sauce pan. Cook stirring constantly until sugar dissolves. Remove orange peel and pour into clean hot jars. Cover tightly leaving ½” head space. Store in cool dry place up to a year.Date published: 2015-06-17Rated 2 out of 5 by Mediocre from Very messy Runs down side of container and Very messy when you pour from it. Not quality I expected.Date published: 2015-05-18Rated 3 out of 5 by CarolineH from Attractive but not completely functional Pros: -Stylish and retro. -Slim size fits well in fridge. Cons: -original tops with snaps to close are annoying to use, and for me always a hassle to snap on and off easily. So I replaced them with the plastic lids you can order separately (they're easy and great). -I bought them to put my milk in, but when I did, my milk went bad really quickly. So they didn't serve the primary purpose I bought them for unfortunately. I use them for keeping juice in which seems to be okay at the moment.Date published: 2015-02-04Rated 5 out of 5 by newbie101 from great juice jars! One of my best purchases here on WS! These store my soy milk very well, easy pour and best of all, no mess! These travel well, too! I store homemade juice and milk in them, and put them in the cooler to go to our lake home. 2 hours later, everything still intact, and woohoo, no mess! I highly recommend them not only for their looks but also their functions!Date published: 2014-07-30Rated 5 out of 5 by Regalhc from Keeps Juice Fresh Excellent choice for keeping juiced vegetables and fruits fresh and easy to refrigerate!
