Rated 5 out of 5 by Lonestarr602 from Decadent, Buttery, Exquisite Cake I bought this Pink Rose Chocolate Layer Cake for a family celebration and gathering this Mother's Day weekend. I'm a very good, though not fancy, baker - and this cake is drop dead decadent, buttery goodness. The cake was packaged perfectly, and arrived in excellent condition - no small feat when shipping a multi-layer cake with thick, fancy buttercream frosting. The cake itself is a dense, moist chocolate layer cake with multiple layers and a rich chocolate frosting between them. The outside is thickly frosted with beautiful rose-colored petals in a buttery, extraordinary butter cream icing. I would definitely order this cake again, and possibly others from this vendor. Well worth the price - fantastic, indulgent cake goodness! Yummy!Date published: 2017-05-14Rated 1 out of 5 by Mediocre from Save your money Purchased this for a special occasion. Cake is only 3" x 5" with a solid 2" wall all around it of buttercream. A cupcake would have been better. Certainly not worth the price for a load of frosting. Too sickening to eat with the ratio of buttercream to cake. Threw it in the garbage.Date published: 2016-12-02Rated 5 out of 5 by PatBRNJ from We all loved it! I ordered this for Easter and it was a hit! It was moist, delicious and looked really pretty too. The chocolate cake was wonderful as was the icing. I recommend it and will definitely order again! Yum!Date published: 2016-04-17Rated 5 out of 5 by hconaway from Perfection Oh. My. God. How does this piece of heaven arrive after two days of travel perfectly intact? But it does. It is the prettiest piece of art work. And it tastes divine. I have never been so pleased with a cake ever before. It was absolutely excellent. I cannot imagine a better dessert.Date published: 2016-03-29Rated 5 out of 5 by Rosie47 from Best Cake Ever Not a flower crushed. Can't believe how well the cake was packed for shipping. My concern was that we were unable to choose the date to be delivered, and we were to be out of town the week before the family party. Fortunately, it arrived the day we were departing, so we simply froze it. On the day of our dinner, we took it out of the freezer about 4 hours prior to serving. The cake was amazing...I'm not even sure I can find the words to describe it. The frosting was pale pink roses in wonderful (but very sweet) buttercream. The cake was deep deep chocolate, and the ganache was absolutely delicious. Certainly worth every penny, and 5 stars doesn't begin to do it justice. Thanks so much.Date published: 2015-04-02Rated 5 out of 5 by Mkm613 from Excellent Cake!!! This cake was absolutely beautiful for a bridal shower. It was chocolaty, moist and delish! We had 4 cakes and it was by far the favorite. The frosting IS sweet but since you only need a small slice, it doesn't seem too sweet and it serves more than it says People were craving it the next day but unfortunately it had been devoured at the shower. Thanks for such a beautiful cake. Now we will have to try a white one!!!Date published: 2015-03-15
