Rated 1 out of 5 by DCLady from Ho Hum Not Rum Cake I really wanted to like this cake, love it in fact. When it arrived and I opened the tin I was expcting to smell the rum but no rum smell, only sugar. I figured maybe once it came to room temperature it would blossom. Room temp but no rum smell. OK, when I taste it, right? Still no rum taste. It was a boring pound cake with a too sweet butter pecan icing. I wanted rum cake, a real rum cake, so I was very disappointed. Can I get my money back?Date published: 2012-12-29Rated 5 out of 5 by FoodFinder from Hit of the Party Not often when the dessert is the most talked about at one of my lunches but this took the cake(no pun intended). Moist, buttery cake with just the right amount of Rum flavoring making me think of a wonderful pastry in France. The combination of cake to nut's makes each bite a sensory explosion. Order this for your next brunch/lunch and make a hit!Date published: 2012-10-30
