Sukhi's Dal with Lemon Rice

This classic, authentic Punjabi dish from northeastern India marries tender spinach with hearty lentils, tomatoes and a custom blend of herbs and spices. Paired with the included fragrant lemon rice, it’s a delicious, low-fat and gluten-free vegetarian meal. For an added layer, poach chunks of chicken in the dal. Prepping the dal is a snap: Simply heat in the microwave and serve.

- The dal is shipped frozen with dry ice, which may have evaporated during shipment. This is normal. Please take care not to touch any remaining dry ice with bare hands. Upon receipt, place the dal in the freezer where it will keep up to 6 months, or in the refrigerator for up to 7 days.
- Dal: water, spinach, channa lentils, tomatoes, expeller pressed canola oil, ginger, gram flour, onion, garlic, jalapeno pepper, cilantro, sea salt, garam masala (corriander, cumin, chili, dry ginger, clove, cassia, bay leaf), cayenne pepper, turmeric.
- Lemon Rice: basmati rice, mixed vegetables (lima beans, carrots, corn, peas, green beans), expeller pressed canola oil, lemon juice, black mustard seed, asafoetida, citric acid, whole chili.
