Rated 5 out of 5 by michele555 from Makes Me Smile I was browsing around and saw this. I bought this thermometer about 5 years ago, I can't recall exact date, but was stunned with how well it worked. I had only used thermometers that you had to wait a few minutes for temp and didn't "cool down" right away to reuse again immediately, such as to check another spot on the turkey. This is a joy to use, and the battery seems to be just as zippy now as the first time I used it.Date published: 2015-09-04Rated 5 out of 5 by ScottishTerrierLover from Review Exhaustion I about wore myself out reading reviews on food thermometers before finally deciding on the Rosle. Each review I read had at least one or two negative comments including the $100 Thermapen which I was not considering at that price but was worth the read. I do not use the thermometer for grill purposes but rather for baking. I make the Amish Friendship Bread starter from scratch and need to know the temperature of my water and milk. It works perfectly for my intended uses.Date published: 2015-04-02Rated 5 out of 5 by wezzy from Precise instant thermometer Best instant thermometer yet! I have used many different brands and styles. The Rosle tops them all and is extremely accurate! I like the back light and the fact it goes off automatically, saving the batteries.Date published: 2013-08-01Rated 2 out of 5 by Benbobbi from After a year, stopped working I got the Rosle thermometer as a Christmas gift in December 2011. Worked great until December 2012. Now, it no longer works; no digital display despite new batteries. Worse, I have been completely unsuccessful trying to reach Rosle customer service. No response to my email, contact through their website and phone messages left with their consumer representative at their Delaware USA headquarters. So I have a $45 non working thermometer. My advice, spend less money on a CDN model or upgrade to a Thermapen. But, do not waste your money on Rosle.Date published: 2013-02-01Rated 5 out of 5 by Brass2 from No-Brainer I used this wonderful device on a rib roast at Christmas and I'm totally thrilled! Easy to use and clean and accurate and definitely worth the money.Date published: 2013-01-04Rated 5 out of 5 by Benjamin950 from Rosle does it again!! As I expected, Rosle gave me a accurate thermometer for temping my dishes at home to ensure dishes are cooked to the correct doneness. It takes the risk out of overcooking or undercooking. Modern, sleek look that appeals to me also. Definitely worth the investment.Date published: 2013-01-03Rated 3 out of 5 by Garvic from Not overly thrilled Good instant read, but the backlight does not stay lit very long and the location of the buttons on the backside is inconvenient at best. Especially if you have it in the correct position for inserting into the item you are trying to get a reading on. It goes dark really quick and because the window of the reading is small you can't see it. Have used it a few times as it is the only one we have at this time but will be shopping around for a better one. Not worth the extra money....Date published: 2012-12-25Rated 4 out of 5 by ndchef from Accurate for a change I have had many thermometers, and this is the best so far. It is very accurate, and fairly quick, though not quite "instant", thus 4 instead of 5 stars. It takes about 10 sec to register, and can be used in liquids, as well as meats.Date published: 2012-02-27
