This decanter's distinctive snail-like profile is more than an eye-catching glass design. The novel shape produces a double aeration effect on wine, opening up the full flavor and aroma of fine vintages. The wine is first aerated when poured into the decanter (which should be held upright for filling), then again when poured out – you'll hear a bubbling gurgle as fresh air is forced through the neck of the decanter when the wine flows out. Hand blown of 24% lead crystal at Riedel's family-owned glassworks in Austria, each piece is a unique work of art. 49.37-oz. cap.; 5 7/8” high.
