This vigorous plant bears large, sweet dark-red raspberries (Rubus idaeus) twice a year, in summer and early fall. ‘Heritage’ is a reliable and heavy producer—perfect for those who want to can their berries and eat them fresh. Surplus fruit can be made into raspberry jam or frozen, the leaves can be used fresh or dried in herbal and medicinal teas, and the flowers can be a major nectar source for honeybees and other pollinators.

Use & Care


  • Planting: Plant in full sun at same depth as container (approx. 6"–8" for 2gal. container). Space 4'–6' apart.
  • Watering: Water well as soon as you plant it, and then at least once a week for the first year after planting. A slow, root-saturating, one-hour trickle once a week is recommended for a new tree. The watering schedule should be adjusted accordingly if it rains or is very dry. Water twice weekly during dry spells.
  • Agricultural regulations prohibit shipment to AZ, CA, OR, WA, Puerto Rico and Hawaii.
