Since the 1950s, the family-owned Mulino Marino has used natural French grindstones to mill their corn for this premium polenta. They use “8 Row” corn, named for its eight rows of kernels, harvested from the Piemonte region of Italy. Due to its coarse grind, this polenta has a rich, nutty flavor and a satisfyingly rustic texture. Easy to prepare, it’s delicious on its own, enriched with Parmigiano-Reggiano, or topped with stewed meats or grilled vegetables. Or, for a special treat, fry the cooked polenta gently in butter or olive oil.
