- Use & Care
- If cooking multiple batches, empty drip tray and wipe tray and grid with paper towel between each batch. Be careful: the grid and drip tray are hot during and for some time after use. Use oven mitts or pot holders to handle parts.
- Before cleaning, unplug the grill and let it cool completely.
- Wipe away excess grease.
- Soak the drip tray and grill grids in hot, soapy water for five minutes before washing.
- Clean the grids and the drip tray with a soft cloth or sponge in hot, soapy water or in the dishwasher.
- Wipe the base clean with a damp cloth.

- Smoky Mushroom and Ham Skewers
If using wooden skewers, soak them in water to cover for at least 20 minutes. Preheat an indoor electric grill to medium-high heat.
In a small bowl, whisk together the 1/4 cup olive oil and the 1 1/2 tsp. paprika.
In a bowl, combine the mushrooms and 3 Tbs. of the olive oil mixture. Season with salt and pepper and stir gently to coat. Lay the ham strips on a work surface and brush with the remaining olive oil mixture. Fold each piece lengthwise into thirds.
Thread the mushrooms onto the skewers, alternating with the ham strips and dividing them equally.
Grill the skewers, turning occasionally, until the mushrooms are tender and the ham is crispy, about 10 minutes. Transfer to a warmed platter, drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle with a pinch of paprika. Serves 4. Get the full smoky mushroom and ham skewers recipe.

Quickly cleaned the entire grill like new with water and a sponge and replaced the foil in about 3 minutes. I love this thing!! I cook every other night and I've used it every time since I purchased it! The only time there's a bit of smoke is when I haven't dried all of the marinade off of the meat. I have a small kitchen so I use it sitting on my flat top stove (obviously no burners are on)- so I can use the vent hood if necessary. The rest of my kitchen has cabinets above the counters. I was determined to find a way to use it! Cleaning is not too hard if you purchase a glass scraper to clean the interior glass. If there are splatters on the metal parts, I use a damp sponge with a little baking soda. Cleans up pretty easily. The grid practically cleans itself-very non stick. Drip pan almost as easy. Check out the YouTube video on how to clean. I would have been frustrated if I hadn't seen it. From the first try, when after 10 minutes of warm-up, I could hold my hand 1/4" from the grill for 10-15 seconds without discomfort, i knew the negative reviews were right. I tried burgers, steak, chicken, and prawns - not of them remotely seared.
