These delectable bites are prepared for us by the hors d'oeuvre masters at The Perfect Bite Co. in Los Angeles. Miniature chicken sausages are seasoned with aromatic chimichurri ingredients—parsley, minced garlic, olive oil and oregano—then wrapped in an all-butter puff pastry, which bakes to a beautiful, golden-brown flakiness in your oven. These hors d'oeuvres are easy to prepare: simply brush the pastry with egg wash, bake and serve.

Care Instructions:
- The chicks in a blanket were shipped frozen with dry ice, which may have evaporated during shipment. This is normal. Please take care not to touch any remaining dry ice with bare hands. Upon receipt, place the chicks in a blanket in the freezer where they will keep up to 3 months.
Baking Instructions:
- Preheat an oven to 375ºF. Remove the frozen chicks in a blanket from the packaging and place on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Whisk together 1 egg and 2 tsp. water. Brush the top and sides of the pastry with the egg mixture. Bake until the pastry is golden brown, 25 to 30 minutes. Let rest for 5 minutes before serving.
