The term “peekytoe crab” was popularized decades ago by Rod Mitchell, owner of Browne Trading Co., as a name for Maine rock crab, once considered a bait-stealing nuisance. Now one of the most coveted varieties on the market, peeky crab meat is sweet and delicious—a true delicacy. Browne Trading Co. steams the fresh-caught crabs, picks out the tender meat and packs it, ready to eat, no cooking required. It's delicious in crab cakes, sushi rolls, crab salad, chowders and dips.

Use & Care

Care

The crab was shipped chilled with ice packs. Upon receipt, refrigerate the crab, or freeze to serve at a later date. It will keep refrigerated up to 2 days, or frozen up to 2 months, unopened. Once opened, we recommend serving immediately.

Proper Thawing

Remove the wrapped fish from the freezer and let thaw in the refrigerator overnight. Place the frozen package on a plate or tray to catch any juices that accumulate during thawing.
