Rated 1 out of 5 by JodieLynn from Does Not Spin Fast Enough To Remove H20 Nice concept, but it not possible to get a fast enough rotation speed (at least on the large size), by pushing down on a center knob. No matter how hard you push, or how often, or weight within the basket - the speed is not fast enough to dry out your greens. I would have returned it, but we threw out the box. Total waste of money. I purchased a smaller light weight spinner from an outlet store for $4.99 and we LOVE it. A hard spin on a light weight plastic spinner will give you nearly bone dry greens, plus a bit of cardio too. Save your money for something else, and buy a cheap one designed with the knob you must spin yourself.Date published: 2016-12-08Rated 5 out of 5 by DrewE from Spinner Extraordinaire This is a great salad spinner. A couple of pushes on the plunger and your greens are dry and the water is in the bottom of the spinner. I suppose time will tell how durable it is, but it looks pretty sturdy to me. I expect to be using it for a long time.Date published: 2016-07-04Rated 1 out of 5 by wintertime from not so good worked great in the beginning...a year later it does spin anymore because of the inside wires...I thought I had bought quality ,but....I would not get it again very dissappointedDate published: 2016-01-22Rated 5 out of 5 by Whitley from Salad spinner Great product. Like the large capacity of the spinner. Greens are nice and dry after spinning. Used also for grapes and worked well.Date published: 2015-09-18Rated 5 out of 5 by MizzMary from Sturdy and does the job I've wanted a salad spinner for some time, and chose this model because of the OXO reputation for quality. This product did not disappoint. I especially like it for drying kale for baked kale chips--kale is notoriously difficult to dry thoroughly without wiping each leaf by hand. Now it's a cinch! The device can also be used to drain pasta, and the bowl is a good size for serving large salads. I think salad-spinning would be a fun job for kids, and it might help to encourage them to eat their veggies. A great buy!Date published: 2014-10-09Rated 1 out of 5 by DAROSS from Disappointed I rarely write reviews, but was very disappointed with this product...... I've had the small spinner for years, and loved it. I've always wanted to get the larger one, and bought it. Since they changed the shape it does not work as well as the old round bottom shaped one. You can't put as many items it, because it doesn't spin as well, it's also harder to pump and harder to stop. Gave it away! Bring back the old rounded bottom one, please.Date published: 2014-08-26Rated 5 out of 5 by Alvira from A spinning delight This spinner treats my veggies and berries with great respect. I highly recommend it.Date published: 2014-08-24Rated 5 out of 5 by LJCPRC from Great Salad Spinner We bought this a couple of years ago and have really enjoyed using it. My dad even bought one for himself after using ours. However, if you use thyme or another smaller herb, the small bits tend to fall through the openings. We typically spin the salad a few times to make sure the leaves are drier. Simple and easy to use.Date published: 2014-07-10
