Nigiri Sushi Mold
The history of sushi is equal parts legend and lore. The most commonly accepted story is that fermented rice was used to preserve fish, and eventually people began to eat the rice along with the fish. Today, chefs prepare nigiri sushi as a way to showcase the best of the day's catch, with a thin slice of raw fish topping a compact ball of fermented rice. This nigiri kit provides a simple two-piece mold for shaping and pressing nigiri in perfect, uniform pieces.

Rated 5 out of 5 by SGAAA from Works well If the rice is hot, it will stick to the mold. I found that if the white wine vinegar sugar solution is added and then the rice is cooled, it doesn't stick. The flaps at the bottom help to easily release the molds.Date published: 2016-08-20Rated 2 out of 5 by Saber01 from Sticky rice really sticks - to this pan! I had no end of trouble when I tried to use this mold. Followed directions, but still the rice stuck to the mold and fell apart when I tried to remove the rolls. Very funny to watch. Think I do better without the mold.Date published: 2015-08-27
