Rated 5 out of 5 by CMCM49 from Perfect Size, Great Quality This is my second Littledeer utensil, and I like it a lot. All the Littledeer utensils are beautifully made, and unique in shape. This pot Scoop is a good shape for stirring sauces, and the handle diameter makes it comfortable to hold. The depth of the scoop isn't as great as I anticipated, but I actually like it the way it is. I used it to stir a tomato based sauce and it didn't stain at all. Later I used it to stir up a cornbread batter and it was great for that too. Given the price of these utensils, I only hand wash them, but how hard is that? These are hard maple and cleanup is easy. Pricey, but worth it, in my opinion. They will last forever.Date published: 2017-01-10Rated 5 out of 5 by Stretch6969 from Great spoon I love it. Great size. I used it to mix met Mac Salad. Worked great. Might order another oneDate published: 2016-07-10Rated 5 out of 5 by JJTT from Best wood utensil I recently bought this one Littledeer pot scoop. This is the best wood utensil i ever found. It is the higest quality among all my wood utensils. It is better to pay a higher premium on a good one than buying a lower quality and complaining about it. I haved used it to stir pasta in a cast iron pot and it works wonderful and i was able to scoop the pasta in 1 large scoop. Unlike silicone spatula can only scoop tiny bit each time. I am very happy with it. I am going to buy a 2nd Littledeer piece - serving scoop. Soon, i will get all of their wood collections.Date published: 2016-04-03Rated 5 out of 5 by PaulAV from Well worth the premium I've had a Littledeer Pot Scoop for over 6 years, and it is my favorite kitchen implement. It works well for stirring and folding, it's point gets into pot corners better than rounded spoons, and it's flat sides are good for wiping down pot sides. I was hesitant to pay the premium for this spoon, but I'm glad I did - the quality and sturdiness are apparent every time I pick it up. It fits well in the hand, doesn't flex or warp, and is a pleasure to use. I've treated it fairly well, but not perfectly: it sometimes sits in water, I whack it on pots, and I've yet to treat it, but aside from some surface dings from banging, it is in great shape. Even my 6-year-old son recognizes its quality - it's his favorite tool for stirring hot cereal.Date published: 2015-02-21Rated 5 out of 5 by katycooks from My new favorite tool I now have 5 of these! Gifting them, too. Love, love, love this. High quality and if fits pots well. I use them for everything now. You will not be disappointed in this.Date published: 2014-06-26Rated 5 out of 5 by AngelaMI from Unique, high quality I bought this spoon because it is so unique in shape and the feel of the wood which is almost velvety. It washes up well and hasn't stained at all. The shape works really well for sautéing or stirring a pot. I love it!Date published: 2014-03-30Rated 5 out of 5 by thesweetestpea from My Most Used Kitchen Tool I bought this along with some other Littledeer tools when we moved and purchased new cookware. I grabbed it one day when a quick bread batter was too thick for a whisk and found it to be a great helper for any recipe that requires folding in ingredients. I have arthritis and fibromyalgia so stirring can really aggravate my arms, hands and wrists but this little guy alleviates the pain associated with mixing. Love it so much I'm getting another one and gave my mom one for Christmas. She's 80 and still bakes several times a week and has carpal tunnel syndrome and arthritis as well. She loves it too and I feel it's well worth it's price and more. I make sure to wash it ASAP so that food doesn't dry on it and I don't let it soak in water either. Other than that, it's a breeze to use. I store it in a crock on my kitchen island where I do all my mixing and baking prep.Date published: 2013-12-23Rated 3 out of 5 by LEpicure from Nice but too heavy Nice product but too heavy.
