Rated 1 out of 5 by Moms from Wood smell I bought a set of these a while back but just recently brought them out to use. I can't seem to get the wood smell out of them though. Even the drawer their kept it smells of wood. I've washed them, soaked them, mineral oiled them, still smell. Can't use them because of the smell. Don't know what else to do. For the price, it's really disappointing.Date published: 2017-05-14Rated 5 out of 5 by jan1234 from Wonderful! This is a great working wooden utensil set. Well worth the priceDate published: 2016-12-14Rated 5 out of 5 by TheGermanWoman from These are kind to your cookware I have the full set and use them every day. They work well with non-stick, enameled or cast iron surfaces, feel great in your hand and give you maximum control over the food you are working with. I treat them like my best cutting boards by keeping them clean, dry and giving them an occasional buffing with a polish I cooked up from natural bees wax and walnut oil.Date published: 2016-10-25Rated 5 out of 5 by MikeInPhx from Great design and feel Cannot beat wood for its natural feel, and the ability to use it everywhere without damaging your cookware. These are more porous then bamboo, not impervious to the elments, but you cannot beat the feel. I prefer it that way, don't leave any of my utensils soaking in my food (or heating up with my pans) and usually hand wash and air dry all of my tools right away. Still need some sort of plastic or silicon spatula for a thin edge and a ladle for transferring larger volumes but otherwise do 99% of the work with theseDate published: 2016-05-29Rated 5 out of 5 by Bluedogs from Useful and Beautiful! I have a full set of these wooden cooking utensils and use them everyday. They sit out on my counter in a crock so I have easy access to them but also because they are so beautiful! Regarding the care issue - if you have nice things you need to take care of them. Complaining that they split if left in water is the same as complaining that your cast iron pan became rusty after soaking overnight. I have one of the originals too! 25+ years! See photo.Date published: 2016-03-19Rated 5 out of 5 by Heidi2000 from Great Utensils These utensils are made of high quality smooth wood. They feel very nice in my hand. I recommend not letting them soak in water and be sure not to bang against pans as the wood can splinter. If you take care of them they should last a long time.Date published: 2015-05-20Rated 5 out of 5 by Rbell from Top Quality Top quality, all natural wooden cooking utensils.
