- Ideal for use on any cooktop, including induction.
- For best results, use low to medium heat on cooktop.
- Oven and broiler safe; phenolic-resin knob is oven safe to 500°F.
- Use wood, plastic or heat-resistant nylon tools to avoid scratching the enamel surface.
- Do not slide pan on stovetop.
- Enamel can chip or crack if dropped or banged on hard surface.
- Allow to cool before washing.
- Dishwasher safe.
- Avoid using steel wool, steel scouring pads, harsh detergents or abrasive cleansers.
- Stubborn food residue and stains can be removed with a nylon scrubbing pad or sponge.

For an additional charge of $17.50 per address, we can expedite delivery to most destinations. Orders received by 9:00 p.m., Eastern time, Monday through Thursday will arrive the next business day; orders placed Friday through Sunday will arrive on the following Tuesday.

The first Le Creuset foundry opened in 1925 in Fresnoy-le-Grand, France, and specialized in cast-iron cookware. The cast-iron pieces are still made at the original factory, using the traditional techniques of hand forging and casting in individual sand molds. The brightly pigmented porcelain-enamel glaze that first set Le Creuset cookware apart from other cast-iron cookware now comes in a wide range of traditional and contemporary colors. In 2013, Le Creuset began producing innovative stainless-steel cookware in Portugal with lids that incorporate the same signature three-ring design as the company’s classic cast-iron pieces. I think they are discontinuing the color so if you've been thinking of buying one, run out to your local store now and see what they have. I saw many different sized aubergine LC's on sale. I've been eyeing this pan for awhile because I like the lower sides which aid in evaporation and the large cooking surface. I'm thinking fried chicken or risottos plus the many other ideas I'll come up with. I have several LC pieces and love them all. I recently bought a Staub dutch oven but I think I prefer the LC light color interior. When I saw this pot, I had to have it. I think it makes a good "everyday" pot. I'll probably leave it out on my cooktop. I think you're only limited by your imagination as how to use it. I bought it yesterday. This morning I made French toast in it for breakfast and sauteed lots of vegetables in it for a pasta dish for lunch. It's big enough to make a reasonable amount of soup (for two people with leftovers...I tend to fill the pot when I use my large French oven for soup). It would be great for spaghetti sauce, chili, pot roast, braising, pan sauteing, etc. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the large cooking surface. Plus, I love that the sides are short enough to use it for pan sauteing, but tall enough to keep most of the grease splatters off the cooktop (which is one of the main reasons I bought it).
