Rated 4 out of 5 by SophieP from It could be better... I bought this for slicing to replace the rotary slicing attachment. It does slice well and I love the ability to adjust speed and the thickness as it slices. .It produces better slices than my workhorse Cuisinart and the rotary slicer.. However the feed tube is TINY. Whole carrots celery and Roma tomatoes will work, otherwise the vegetables will have to be cut to fit. I have not tried cheese. The blade storage is flimsy...I can see the catch breaking in the near future. I would recommend it to a friend, with those reservations.Date published: 2017-03-14Rated 2 out of 5 by StevieGibbons from Misleading I bought this from the store last Christmas for one of the "gifts for the house", thinking that I could use it a lot in my food preparation and I wanted to utilize my KitchenAid more. I've used it a total of 3 times this past year, mainly because it really doesn't work well. I had high hopes for shredded Brussels sprouts, carrots, potatoes for gratinees, etc. to make easy salads and save time, but I spent more time fixing jams than anything. My house gift this year will be a proper food processor.Date published: 2016-12-17Rated 1 out of 5 by BettinaW from I wish it worked as well as advertised Although not a true food processor (it slices & dices), the concept is nice. However, unless I have a high volume to slice & dice, I don't go through the effort of getting this out. Last night I had two butternut squash that needed dicing. Very frustrating. I spent a lot of time clearing jams. In the end I still had to hand cut about a third of it. It wasn't the time saver I had hoped for.Date published: 2016-12-17Rated 1 out of 5 by jccwc from Not a good quality food processor I bought this from another store after seeing it demo'd. I began putting it through it's paces only to find that it jammed often, and the dicer broke after the second potato. When I went to clean the dicer, as food got stuck in it constantly, I got cut very badly. Food has to be pushed down continually for the dicer to work. I went back to my tried and true cuisinart and a chef knife.Date published: 2016-07-17Rated 1 out of 5 by JustAJulienne from Save your time, buy a knife instead. What a waste of time, food and cabinet space. I would say money too, but it was from my wedding registry so (while I registered for it) I didn’t pay for it. In an attempt to simply julienne carrots it was an absolute mess. I took apart the whole thing four or five times to A.) Google if I had put it together properly (apparently I had) then, B.) Clean out the portion above and below the blade, which keep getting stopped up with carrot pieces. About a ½” thick portion of each 2.5” carrot length was left chewed up and unusable – accept to give to my husband as a snack to assuage him from asking why it was taking so long to make a carrot salad. If I hadn’t so eagerly thrown away the box and if there weren’t still carrot bits stuck seemingly permanent in the julienne blade I would have marched this thing right back to the store. Money, time and energy would have been better spent on a mandoline or a really good knife.Date published: 2016-04-23Rated 5 out of 5 by cookingpro from Better than I imagined Dices hard and soft vegetables beautifully, I was sure I was going to have to return this like I have all the other machines that 'diced' but I was amazed. Mushrooms Carrots, eggplant, cucumbers, radishes, onions - I didn't have to slice them first, there was no effort on my part and the results were beautiful. You do have to be careful to insert the attachment ALL THE WAY INTO THE MIXER, and secure it with the bolt or I am sure there will be damage to the attachment and the machine but if you're careful with the setup it works beautifully. It slices and dices and shreds all types of food without the limitation of a food processers bowl size, great for large gatherings.Date published: 2016-03-09Rated 1 out of 5 by schnaupal from Not a Real Food Processor! I am extremely unhappy with this product and regret buying it. It's not a real food processor, it's basically just a food chopper. The attachment does not have a bowl to hold food while cutting through it more than once, so it is not possible to use it for hummus, pesto, pie crust, sauces, etc. The only thing it does is cut through fruits or vegetables as they fall through the intake slot. (And even then, it gets jammed frequently.) It is incredibly misleading to label such a thing a "food processor," and I never would have bought it if I had known. Now I'm stuck with an appliance I will never use - so much for saving space.Date published: 2016-02-15Rated 2 out of 5 by Rozemarie from TOP QUALITY of customer service at Williams-Sonoma I bought this in Nov.started using it last wk.I had a bnut Squash to dice.started out terrific! As i used the pusher to get the rest down, blade jammed. I shut it off, used the cleaning tool to release any jammed pieces in the dicing grate.I cont. a few more times w/the same thing happening.the last try the jam stripped my main hub of my KitchenAid.I didn't realize this until I went to change the attachment. I called W-A where I purchased it, She replaced the processor an dicer kit ,after i hung up I realized that it jumped the main gear of my KA ,I immediately called W-S back ,spoke w/Jason&told him the WHOLE story. along w/processor he will be sending mixer as well.pack both up and UPS will come an tag&return it. In the mean time I will get my replacements by 12/15. Yesterday, received the proc.& dicing kit.W-S I was thrilled.awaiting mixer Thank you again W-S.I just think this was a bad batch of an accessory.I will Re-Review when my mixer comes&I can start to use the attachment.Date published: 2014-12-14
