Rated 5 out of 5 by CoffeLuvr from TOP QUALITY I have been wanting a burr grinder for some time. I read many reviews and the Kitchen Aid came out on top. What a machine! High quality and very sturdy. Also has half way settings in between grind numbers. Doesn't take up too much room on countertop. Very very well made. I also was able to get it on sale, so even happier. A bit on the loud side, but so what-it is a heavy duty machine. Buy it-you will be so glad you did. No problem with static electricity mess like my old canister blade grinder.Date published: 2017-01-04Rated 4 out of 5 by Love2eatewrtrtwwrg from 4.5 Stars!!! We love this coffee grinder!! It is fast and efficient and not overly loud. It doesn't rate the full 5 stars because of the glass container that catches the grounds. It seems a little flimsy, and I am wondering if there are replacements available. Also, when I pull out said glass container, there are always some random grounds that end up falling on the base of the grinder. But as far as grinding abilities, this is top notch!!Date published: 2016-11-30Rated 5 out of 5 by ForgetfulFlo from Great grinder Dependable, fresh ground coffee every morning, it doesn't get any better than that!Date published: 2016-09-06Rated 5 out of 5 by RalphandLauriesKitchen from Wonderful Coffee Grinder Great coffee grinder that is a workhorse. Very good even grinds. I've had my machine for about 10 years and it gets used EVERY DAY of the year. It's reliable, does the various grinds well and easily, is so well built and like others have said..... there is no horrible static. Swirling the grinds gently in the jar is a good trick to get rid of any slight static in colder weather. Love this sturdy industrial looking machine. TEN STARS!Date published: 2016-03-01Rated 5 out of 5 by Vic1963 from The Vitamix of Coffee Grinders Dial your ground size, and consistency is excellent (and the owner's manual shows you how to calibrate it as well, if you need "super-fine" for espresso). I've read a lot of coffee grinder reviews and notice that a lot of complaints are about MESS and STATIC ELECTRICITY causing difficulty removing all the grounds from the container. Enter the Kitchen-Aid grinder: after grinding, if you tap the plastic panel just above the glass container (so it drops residual grounds into the container), then lift your side of the glass container ever so slightly while pulling it out, the whole container comes out with no mess. Then swirl the coffee grounds around while the container is still upright: the static electricity mostly neutralizes and the static-stuck coffee grounds fall into the container with the rest! Just up-end it and tap lightly with your finger and again -- the container is then virtually grounds-free and doesn't even need to be cleaned. LOVE IT!Date published: 2016-01-08Rated 5 out of 5 by SteveP2000 from Years of reliable performance and consistency. I flat-out love this machine and am happy to see that they are making it again. I have been grinding beans daily for 40-64 oz of coffee for years without fail. The glass is nice as it does not build static cling like plastic will. It produces a nice, consistent grind be it course for my vac or perc, or a little finer for the Techniorum drip.Date published: 2015-08-28
