Our guacamole starter was inspired by the zesty blend of avocados and chilies that are traditionally prepared and served in a molcajete (mortar and pestle). In true Mexico City style, fresh tomatillos are hand roasted over open flames to give them a deep, smoky flavor, then combined with green chilies, lime and a blend of chopped garlic, cilantro and onions. When blended with fresh avocadoes, the result is a classically flavored guacamole that’s delicious with tortilla chips, tacos, salads and on burgers.
