Master pastry chef Jean-Yves Charon is renowned for his bake-at-home croissants and other classic pastries. For his latest creation, he wraps buttery croissant dough, laboriously crafted using butter and ultrathin layers of yeast dough, around cheddar cheese for a savory, European-style treat. These stuffed croissants are a breeze to prepare. Simply defrost frozen pastries overnight and then bake them the next morning, filling the house with an irresistible aroma. Enjoying these cheesy croissants warm, straight from your own oven, is a treat no patisserie can match. Each boasts a texture that’s flaky on the outside, soft and fluffy on the inside, with gooey cheddar cheese that oozes from the ends.

- Use & Care
- The croissants ship frozen with dry ice. Please take care not to touch the dry ice with bare hands. Upon receipt, remove croissants from the shipping container and place in the freezer, where they will keep for up to one month frozen.
- Place no more than 6 frozen croissants on a parchment-lined baking sheet, spacing them evenly apart. Cover with another sheet of parchment. Let rise at room temperature for 6 to 7 hours. Preheat an oven to 375ºF. Remove the top sheet of parchment paper. Lightly brush the tops of the croissants with an egg wash (1 egg beaten with 1 tsp. water). Bake until puffed and golden, roughly 18 to 20 minutes. Let cool on the baking sheet for 5 to 10 minutes before serving.
