- Salsa de Arbol Recipe
Coarsely slice the onion half. Rinse the tomatillos in warm water to remove the sticky residue on them.
Place a grill pan on the stove and char the tomatoes, tomatillos and onion. Set aside.
Put the oil in a saucepan and toast the chilies quickly, being careful not to scorch them, about 30 seconds. Remove the chilies from the pan. Add the garlic to the pan and cook until lightly brown. Add the tomatoes, tomatillos, onion, chilies and 1/2 cup water and bring to a boil. Reduce the heat and simmer, uncovered, for 30 minutes.
Place all the ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth. Season with salt. Serves 12.

Rated 5 out of 5 by stxenia from IN A CLASS BY ITSELF! Not only is this toaster good looking, its the only toaster that has ever lasted!!! I was going through a new toaster every several years and was finally fed up and decided to get this one. I've had it for 15 years or more, and still works like a charm. Worth every single penny!Date published: 2016-11-26Rated 3 out of 5 by siggyl from Only ok, but expensive I've had the same Dualit for about 20 years. It looks beautiful. I paid about same price 20 yrs ago. It was a 4 star when first purchased. As others have said, it takes longer to brown the bread when starting from a cold toaster. Each additional toasting, you have to keep checking the toast so it doesn't burn. Very bothersome when at the same time you are cooking something on the stove. For the past couple of years, it browns unevenly. The lower half is lighter then the upper half, so I have to turn the toast 1/2 way through. Although I have worked with the inconveniences and it has lasted this many years, I guess the price wasn't too bad since I am still using it after 20 years. I'll continue to use it until it no longer works. I won't buy another Duallit, but I'm sure the next one I buy won't last anywhere near as long. Things just aren't made as well as in past.Date published: 2016-11-12Rated 5 out of 5 by JeffKinSeattle from Hand Made Toaster I got this beautiful toaster in december and it is made in England. I am sure it will last me a lifetime. It toasts bagels and english muffins perfectly.Date published: 2016-01-14Rated 5 out of 5 by Lilihoo from My Forever Toaster I have been fancying this toaster for many years and received this as a b-day splurge. My other big box store toasters pale in comparison. It is a work of art that sits on our counter. It is of sturdy construction. It toasts beautifully. I like the lever that allows me to check in the middle of a toasting cycle to see if it is done. I call it my forever toaster and am looking forward to using it for many years to come.Date published: 2015-07-08Rated 5 out of 5 by Otterdance from Recent purchase Many of there reviews here are for toasters people bought many years ago. I'm glad to hear that they last so long but wondered if the newer ones are still well made. I took a chance based on the fact that they are not made in China, they are hand built, have replaceable parts, and no electronics to fail. We have had it for several weeks now, using it daily. It takes a bit of getting used to, but is really simple to use. We have toasted store bread, homemade bread, english muffins, and full size bagels. Everything fits just fine and comes out wonderfully crispy on the outside and chewy inside. The bagel setting is brilliant. Read the directions and follow them, and you will really enjoy this toaster!Date published: 2015-06-10Rated 5 out of 5 by PhilC from Great toaster Tired of cheap throw aways, we decided to buy a Dualit. I like the simple features - mechanical lift, manual selector switch, mechanical timer, and replaceable parts should any ever fail. It looks great on our counter, works exactly as it should, toasts bread, bagels, and english muffins pleasantly well. Hand made quality is so nice and readily apparent. My wife says we bought our "grandkids" toaster, as in a family heirloom. With our first grandchild due in July, I am certain she is right.Date published: 2015-04-11Rated 5 out of 5 by HRAE from Toast to 20 Years I have had this Dualit for 20 years or more! It still looks as great as the first day I bought it and has been worth every penny and more! It truly toasts!Date published: 2015-01-17Rated 5 out of 5 by RobinDensford from Fit for a Queen . . . As a matter of fact, Queen Elizabeth has this toaster on her breakfast buffet. Now, of course that shouldn't be the only reason to own this toaster. I purchased this toaster (without the bagel function) 15 years ago and it's still going strong. What's even more surprising is I paid about the same price for it then. Remember to allow it to heat to temperature for a minute before using. But the toast is absolutely perfect.Date published: 2013-12-18
