Rated 3 out of 5 by SirEdwardPopinjay from DOES NOT SLICE! - it only juliennes As far as a julienne slicer - it works great. No question about that. But I was under the impression that this product slices in thin sheets as well. The description is misleading and I quote: "Japanese cooks rely on these efficient tools to create whisper-thin slices... " - and - "Use the flat slicer to create wide, paper-thin slices of apples and other fruits or vegetables." This slicer does not have any size or adjustments or blade options. It only makes match-stick size julienne cuts.Date published: 2015-11-15Rated 5 out of 5 by pookusmaximus from Love this slicer This is one of my favorite kitchen tools. It slices beautifully, the blade is always sharp, and it's easy to clean. I can't reiterate enough how easy it is to use...and it's top quality, especially for the price. We like to make noodles out of squash and cucumbers, and this cuts our noodle slicing time in half. We've also started eating hashbrowns on a regular basis because my husband has discovered that he likes shredding potatoes...but just with *this* slicer.Date published: 2013-02-26
