  • Traditionally used in southern Italian cooking, caperberries – the fruit that grow on the caper bush (not to be confused with capers, which are the unopened flower buds from the same plant) – have a wonderful sweet-savory balance. To prepare this handcrafted delicacy, the berries are lightly pickled and jarred in prosecco, an Italian sparkling white wine, which gives them a sweet taste and soft, yet slightly crisp texture.
