Callie's Charleston Biscuits, Shortcakes
A South Carolina mother-daughter team is behind these sweet and fluffy hand-made shortcakes. Top-quality ingredients include milk from Charleston’s Coburg Dairy, butter, flour, sugar and vanilla. Combined, they create shortcakes that are melt-in-your-mouth tender and delicious. Prettily packaged, the shortcakes are convenient to have on hand for a quick dessert. Make classic strawberry shortcake with sliced strawberries and freshly whipped cream, or pair with any seasonal fruit such as sliced peaches or plums, blueberries, blackberries or raspberries.

These shortcakes were shipped frozen with ice packs. Upon receipt, store the shortcakes in the freezer, where they will keep up to 3 months frozen. Keep frozen until ready to bake.
Preheat an oven to 400ºF.
Remove the biscuits from the plastic bag and let them thaw just enough so you can separate the 2 layers that are stacked on top of each other; do not pull the individual biscuits apart at this point. Discard the parchment paper.
Place both layers of biscuits side by side on a large piece of aluminum foil. Wrap the edges of the foil over the biscuits to cover them completely and place directly on the oven rack. Bake until the biscuits are warmed through, about 25 minutes. Open the foil and bake until the biscuits are golden brown, 5 to 10 minutes more. Let cool slightly, then pull the individual biscuits apart and serve.
