Breville Smart Oven Bamboo Cutting Board
Designed to fit on top of the Breville Countertop Convection Oven to save valuable counter space, this bamboo cutting board also doubles as a serving tray thanks to its recessed handles. Bamboo is naturally antibacterial and absorbs little moisture making it more sanitary than some other hardwoods. Used as a tray it can be taken directly to the table where it can serve as a trivet, protecting the tabletop from heat damage. Silicone feet on the base make it stable when cutting and protect delicate surfaces.

- Use & Care
- Board should be seasoned with a food-grade mineral oil before first use.
- To season the board properly, warm the mineral oil slightly and apply it in the direction of the wood grain using a clean, dry cloth. Allow the oil to soak in and repeat with another application. Allow the board to dry and wipe off any excess oil.
- Hand-wash with hot, soapy water. Dry thoroughly.
- Do not soak or submerge board in water.
- Occasionally rub with a food-safe mineral oil to keep wood from drying out.
- To sanitize, wash the board with a solution of one part vinegar to five parts water.
- Remove odors by rubbing the board with kosher or table salt and half a lemon. Let sit for 2 to 3 minutes then wipe clean with a damp cloth. Remove excess moisture with a clean paper towel and stand the board on end to air dry.
- Store in a dry area away from extreme temperatures.

In a small bowl, combine the salt and pepper. Season the pork roast generously with the mixture.
In a large fry pan over medium-high heat, warm the olive oil. Add the pork and cook, turning frequently until browned on all sides, about 10 minutes. Transfer to a platter and set aside.
Pour off all but a thin layer of fat in the pan. Add the onion and garlic and sauté just until they begin to soften, 1 to 2 minutes. Add the beer and deglaze the pan, stirring and scraping up the browned bits from the pan bottom with a wooden spoon.
Oven method: Preheat an oven to 350°F. Transfer the pork to a large Dutch oven and pour in the beer mixture. Add the orange and lime zests and juices and the oregano. Cover and cook until the pork is very tender, about 2 1/2 hours.
Slow-cooker method: Transfer the pork to a slow cooker and pour in the beer mixture. Add the orange and lime zests and juices and the oregano. Cover and cook according to the manufacturer's instructions until the pork is very tender, about 5 hours on high or 10 hours on low.
Transfer the pork to a carving board and cover loosely with aluminum foil. Using a large, shallow spoon or a ladle, skim as much fat as possible from the surface of the cooking liquid. Using a large, sharp knife and a fork, coarsely cut and shred the pork into small bite-size pieces.
Arrange the meat on a warmed platter or individual plates, moisten it lightly with the cooking juices, and serve immediately with the tortillas, lime wedges, chopped onion, salsa and cilantro. Serves 6 to 8.

You can use uit as a cutting board beautifully. It is definitely large enough for any task. It serves as a comfortable serving tray, that is good size also and it's perfect pon the top of our wonderful Smart Oven. You really can use this now as another surface for putting dishes etc on and it keeps the heat of the oven away from body exposure. Not that this may be of importance, but it makes a gorgeous oven looks absolutley out of this world. We are so proud to have house guests see this on our counter.
