A sweet, yeast-leavened cake, babka is traditional at many types of holiday celebrations in Eastern Europe. A soft brioche-like dough is filled with homemade candied orange zest, chocolate chunks and ganache made from locally sourced Tcho chocolate, and then folded into individual tulip-shaped baking cups. Before baking, the babkas are topped with a toasted-almond streusel. The babkas are made by The Bread Project in Emeryville, California, a nonprofit that trains people with limited resources in the art of baking, helping them develop expert job skills for working in the food industry.

Care
- This TCHO chocolate babka ships at ambient temperature. Upon receipt, store the babka at room temperature for up to 4 days, in the refrigerator for up to 1 week or in the freezer for up to 1 month, wrapped airtight.
