John McLeod Angus Carving Board
For easy carving, this board by John McLeod Ltd. of Vermont anchors meat in place with a unique grid of individually cut pyramids. A perimeter well traps flavorful juices, and the reverse side of the board is perfectly flat for slicing or serving.

- Use & Care
- Board should be seasoned with a food-grade mineral oil before first use.
- To season the board properly, warm the mineral oil slightly and apply it in the direction of the wood grain using a clean, dry cloth. Allow the oil to soak in and repeat with another application. Allow the board to dry and wipe off any excess oil.
- Hand-wash with hot, soapy water. Dry thoroughly.
- Do not soak or submerge board in water.
- Occasionally rub with a food-safe mineral oil to keep wood from drying out.
- To sanitize, wash the board with a solution of one part vinegar to five parts water.
- Remove odors by rubbing the board with kosher or table salt and half a lemon. Let sit for 2 to 3 minutes then wipe clean with a damp cloth. Remove excess moisture with a clean paper towel and stand the board on end to air dry.
- Store in a dry area away from extreme temperatures.

For an additional charge of $17.50 per address, we can expedite delivery to most destinations. Orders received by 9:00 p.m., Eastern time, Monday through Thursday will arrive the next business day; orders placed Friday through Sunday will arrive on the following Tuesday.

Husband hates to use any board other than this one!! Catches all the juice for pouring up for making sauces, when the meat has been cooked on the Green Egg or water smoker. Cleans up easy with nylon brush and soap and water. Once dried, Oil with butcher block oil before putting away! I followed all care instructions to the letter, but after two uses, the grain rose and the surface is rough. In order to get it back to its smooth finish, I have to use steel wool, which doesn't work on the little wood pyramids. If it were, in fact, 1-1/4 inches thick as described it probably would be well worth the cost. The problem is that it is barely 1" and with the depth of the juice channels there is almost no wood left in the areas where it is cut for them. As a consequence I think there is a significant risk of the board splitting along the glue lines. You can't beat only needing one cutting board for the whole meal. It's also a beautiful way to display a buffet of omelet fillings.
