Rated 1 out of 5 by CathG from Warped over boiling water. I used this to boil a large pot of pasta water. It warped! While it was still hot, two of the sides were 2 mm off the surface of the pot. After it cooled, it almost laid flat. I'd say it wobbled. Useless.Date published: 2017-01-27Rated 5 out of 5 by Charusa from User friendly lid I got the Tk all clad copper core sauce pans and these are the lids that go with it. I didn't know if I would like them but I got use to them right away. Now I even grab it when I'm using my fry pans that are not TK.Date published: 2016-11-10Rated 4 out of 5 by docwas from Bigger size works better on larger skillets We had previously purchased the medium size universal lid, but found that it wasn't big enough for our larger skillets. This new one is the larger size and works great. It is big, and that makes in more difficult to store, but I'm still glad I got it.Date published: 2016-01-22Rated 5 out of 5 by TimY from Universal lid for any pot or pan I actually bought this for my wife for Christmas to cover a different brand, 13.5" diameter non-stick skillet that came without lid. It is perfectly flat so fits nicely for that purpose and can be used on any of our other All Clad copper core skillets and pots. The handle is nicely shaped. Has a heavy duty, high quality feel like every other piece of All Clad cookwear. I got the largest one so it's got some heft for what it is. One of each size would be great...Date published: 2016-01-08Rated 1 out of 5 by BobGee from Not for open burner cook top It Thomas Keller uses anything like these lids, they must be of a thicker metal or he doesn't use a real professional cook top (and I doubt that!). The lid may work OK on an induction, closed gas or electric burner but NOT on an open gas burner like my Blue Star cook top or a pro kitchen cook top like a Garland. The heat of my burner convecting from below the pan hit the overlapping edge of this thin lid warping it into a potato chip and making it useless.Date published: 2015-12-26Rated 2 out of 5 by dhi1 from Disappointing Doesn't quite sit flat on top of pots/pans and warping gets worse as it heats. Good in concept, but not executed as well as it could have been. Good enough since there aren't a lot of other alternatives, but wish it worked better.Date published: 2015-12-22Rated 4 out of 5 by SSMIaimi from Bright Idea - works well & frees up lots of space I am a storage hound. I like to maximize storage areas for my essentials. Until the Universal Lid came along, the drawer housing my pots and pans looked a bit like my granddaughter's toy chest - a mess. It resembled a small chaotic foundry of aluminum and stainless steel objects of varying sizes. The Universal Lid relegated virtually all of my pan lids to the garage. I own two of them (small and medium), They are easy to work with, but I have one issue. My smaller lid does not lay entirely flat against the rim of the pot, but it doesn't affect the outcome of my cooking (this is the only reason I gave it a four stars instead of five). The mid-size lid is like baby bear's bed - just right. The lids are not flimsy. They have weight to them and are well made. A singular lid can do the job of several. Why store five lids in a drawer when one can do the job? I highly recommend these lids. They work well, look good, and free up space.Date published: 2015-11-25Rated 5 out of 5 by Mareeeee from Best lid ever!
