This hollow-ground santoku combines the benefits of a chef's knife and a cleaver and is indispensable for chopping, slicing and dicing. Reflecting the expertise acquired from a centuries-old tradition of Asian cutlery-making, the knife is forged from stainless steel clad with 16 microthin layers of high-carbon steel, creating a razor-sharp edge. Oval indentations on the blade's sides reduce friction to produce clean, uniform cuts. Echoing the beveled beauty of Damascus steel cutlery (but without its tendency to rust), the knife features a full tang that extends the length of the handle for strength and balance. The unique D-shaped resin-infused hardwood handles are comfortable to grip and easy to control. 7"-long blade. Made in Japan.
