Like the salami you’d find hanging in a market in Italy, ours are produced according to traditional recipes using top-quality meats and fragrant spices. They’re hand made by the Columbus Salame Company, a family-owned firm founded in 1917 in San Francisco’s predominantly Italian North Beach neighborhood. A deliciously savory appetizer, the salami can be served as part of an antipasto platter, accompanied by cheese, olives and pickles. Our assortment includes Secchi, a dried sausage seasoned with a touch of mace; Crespone, a mellow farmhouse-style salame in a pork casing; and Cacciatore, or hunter’s sausage, spiced with garlic, black pepper and Burgundy. They keep 2 1/2 months, unopened or opened. Approx. 2 lb. total. A Williams-Sonoma exclusive.
