For frying, searing, sautéing and deglazing, this skillet offers all the benefits of a classic cast-iron skillet – but without its tendency to rust or its occasional need for seasoning. Le Creuset finishes its cast-iron cookware with an easy-to-clean enamel that protects the metal from rust and resists chipping and scratching. Because cast iron absorbs, transfers and retains heat uniformly, foods cook evenly across the entire pan surface. Design features include the long handle designed for maneuvering the pan over heat, a helper handle that eases lifting and transporting the filled pan and two pouring lips that simplify pouring off pan fat. The pan’s interior is satin black enamel. Dishwasher safe. 9" diam. Made in France.
General Information
- Dishwasher safe.
- Never use abrasive cleaning products or scouring pads.
- Remove stubborn food residue with a plastic or sponge scourer only.
- Use wood, plastic or heat-resistant nylon tools to avoid scratching the enamel.
- Handles will get hot - use pot holders. At the table, use with a trivet.
- For best results, use low to medium heat on stovetop. Oven and broiler safe; however, the black phenolic handles are only safe to 450ºF.
- Do not slide pans on the stovetop. Enameled surface can chip or crack if dropped or banged against a hard surface.
