Le Creuset pots and pans are handcrafted in northern France at a factory founded in 1925. Each piece is sand cast from a single mold that is then destroyed, so no two pieces are alike. Constructed of cast iron, a material prized for its heat retention, these pieces are especially suited to slow-cooking savory dishes. Because the metal is finished with a thick coating of porcelain enamel, the pans require no seasoning and are dishwasher safe. This attractive cookware performs well from oven to table. Our 12-piece cookware set includes the 5-qt. covered oval Dutch oven, 5 1/2-qt. covered round Dutch oven, 10" square grill pan, 10" fry pan, 14" x 10" baker, 3 1/2-qt. covered braiser, 2 1/4-qt. covered saucier and 14" oval au gratin. General Information
- Dishwasher safe.
- Never use abrasive cleaning products or scouring pads.
- Remove stubborn food residue with a plastic or sponge scourer only.
- Use wood, plastic or heat-resistant nylon tools to avoid scratching the enamel.
- Handles will get hot - use pot holders. At the table, use with a trivet.
- For best results, use low to medium heat on stovetop. Oven and broiler safe; however, the black phenolic handles are only safe to 450ºF.
- Do not slide pans on the stovetop. Enameled surface can chip or crack if dropped or banged against a hard surface.
